The Affordable Care Act (ACA) has received a lot of deserved attention over the past 24 months, but still has a lot of unanswered questions surrounding its enforcement. During this webinar, we will review the current status of the ACA rules focusing on the WOPD requirements and current audit enforcements. We will also discuss how to correct mistakes when they happen, and give tips for success in audits and appeals.

Understanding how the Medicare DMEPOS system works is essential before you can truly establish a strong Intake Department. And, without a strong Intake Department, you cannot guarantee a healthy Billing Department (and strong collections!). By attending this webinar you will learn how the coverage rules are developed, and how the local DMACs develop the policies and requirements they use when auditing your claims. We will talk about the many different auditors, and how understanding the difference between the auditors can help you get your claims paid. And finally, we will discuss the appeal process and all of the options available to DMEPOS suppliers to protect their money!

This is our first session discussion oxygen coverage criteria, and will establish a strong understanding of the Medicare coverage requirements. During this session, we will look at the oxygen coverage requirements for oxygen patients including the evaluation and testing criteria, as well as physician orders, Certificates of Medical Necessity and proof of delivery requirements.

Building upon our Session 1, we will take a more advanced look at oxygen coverage issues including how to provide oxygen to a patient suffering from (or suspected of having) obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). We will review how to handle newly patients suspected of having OSA, newly diagnosed patients, and your long-term PAP users that now need oxygen.

When a rental claim is audited and denied, it impacts more than just that month’s claim.
